In one way, we're all winners....

But in another , more realistic way, there is only one winner and the rest of us can rank ourselves in order of how far behind the winner we really are..

On Sunday the 10k Blackwater Run took place in Monaghan and a number of the Bond family took part. Dad did his best to put John off at the start by shouting at him as he took off to look back so he could get a photo of him.

But despite Dad's best efforts we all made it around the track, up the hilll, through the forest, up another hill, up another hill, through two car parks, up yet another hill and then back to the finish line . I still haven't quite figured out how we appeared to be constantly running up hill but ended up back in the same place where we started without running down any. But no matter. We did finish :

I know that you may be curious as to which of us came in first but I don't really think that it's important. What is important is that you know that I was playing 5-a-side football on Thursday and twisted my calf muscle and that it was a miracle that I completed the 10 k at all...and that I didn't come last...even out of us...OK, the fella on the end in the coat came last.

More importantly we had a record number of entries to our last ever Freebie Friday and what a sorry, unlucky bunch you are. We had a great collection of car crashes, eye pokings, sabotage, cat scalding's but, disappointingly , this week no orgasms.
