Let them eat socks !

What a truly wonderful , momentous , earth shattering day it is today. Yes folks, it's my birthday !

It's not funny, but the best birthday present i got was a watch from my girlfriend (now wife) for my 18th birthday. v expensive Pulsar watch with SSteel strap and the back face is a solar panel so you don't need a battery. Still have it 23 years later and it works perfectly (although the date gets stuck every month on the 5th so i have to move it onto the next day manually ) Lost it in in 2002 Dublin falling down the stairs drunk in the Waterfront night club (there's a blast from the past) but on the advice of a optimistic friend I put a small ad in the Evening Press (another blast there). The next day a guy rang saying he had found it and handed it in to College Green Garda Station. My faith in humanity was restored...for a small while anyway. Of course in the meantime I'd broken the news to the missus that I'd lost it and she wasn't very happy. To this day when I'm going out she tells me to leave it a home. This is getting a bit Oprah so I'll back away from the keyboard now BAZ

Happy Birthday Paul! Just taking a break between my leaving cert exams-! Best present I got was a Mark II model Ford Escort car from my Uncle/Godfather I have been collecting model cars ever since , Birthdays Xmas etc, and the odd console game - Hope in the future I can afford a real car and drive a lot more carefully that on a console game - Better get books out again - English paper 2 2moro

The best present I ever got was from my misses if you know what I mean but I don't think shed be happy if all the readers of the 4th largest workwear store in monaghan read about it.. So I'll have to tell you about the second best present i got when i was 6 ish which would have to be an AT-AT (the big 4 legged tank from star wars) man did I win some bedroom and stair battles with that yoke the Jedi didn't stand chance and would you believe I kept it for the last 25 years and my little cousin is playing with it these days( ok ok i do indulge my self on the pretence of keeping him entertained . Speaking of winning battles if I got some of that excellent gear on offer I'd be able to win the battle of the soggy shirt and socks against the dreaded rain Happy Birthday Lad gis a shout if you want to borrow my AT-AT and reclaim your youth

The Bestest B'day present ever I did receive was from my girlfriend. She got us tickets to see Man United Vs Stoke in Old Trafford in 2008. United trashed them 5-0. Got to see Ronaldo bang in 2 freekick's(his 100th 101th goal). Carrick, Wellbeck and berba got a goal each. It was the first and only time I've been over to see them live and I wasn't left disappointed.

Hi Paul! My answer to question is - Best Birthday Present to me, was my car(quite expensive one)! And it was presented to me - by ME!!! Who else could give you best things you ever wish?! Of course it is always yourself (unless it is your millionaire uncle). I think what would make me perfect receiver of Irish Summer Emergency Pack, is the fact that my birthday is coming in 26th of June (what a perfect timing, uh?) and nobody from Ireland has given to me any birthday present ever before! So it is perfect occasion to change this sad pattern... It definitely would be second best Birthday Present for me, EVER :) Thanks for all the good wishes! :) Always glad to hear from you guys, Vil
